Thanks very much for a great informative nd well presented podcast. I really enjoyed this episode. However, when I tried sbackup I founnd it to have two serious drawbacks.
Firstly, it had no progress indications. I was trying to use it on a laptop, backing up to an external usb hard drive… and I needed to leave in a couple of hours. It gave me no indication of when it would be likely to finish, and in the end I just had to shutdown. Not very useful.
Secondly, I couldn’t see any way of verifying the backup. To me, one thing worse than no backup is a being under the mistaken impression that you have backups.
It’s been a while since I tried sbackup, so these issues may have been fixed – if so, please disregard this post.
Once again, thanks very much for the podcast.
