In this episode of the Linux User Podcast Allan Emord discusses Cloud Computing and Eucalyptus. Allan Emord is a System Administrator for the city of Albuquerque. In this episode Allan points out that there is a lot of opinion and speculation about cloud computing. There is also a lot of disagreement about what it actually is. Allan discusses these and gives you what he believes is a pretty good definition. He also discusses some of the security issues involved in cloud computing. He then takes on the subject of Eucalyptus. Eucalyptus is an open-source infrastructure for the implementation of cloud computing on computer clusters. Ubuntu has been actively involved in the project.
